Caught my eye Friday – Doodles, Sticky Tounges & Alan Jones

There are two things I am loving about my brand new Caught my eye Friday post: firstly there’s the personal satisfaction of being able to “pay it back” to the blogging community and give more than I could have in a comment. The second thing is crafting the most ridiculous post titles possible!

You had me at “doodle or fanny”!

Twice as nice is run by a Suzie, an old friend of mine formย Bowral NSW who writes honestly and candidly about the excitement and challenges of raising 4 kids (including twins) with another on the way. Her recent post Doodle or Fanny? (apart from having the best title I’ve seen in ages) describes how she’ll be taking the whole family (all 6.5) of them to her 20 week ultrasound to see what they are getting.

Pop over and tell her Kevin sent you.

Oh Alan…

So I have my own opinion about Mr Jones but for those of you that have been following his capers over the last few weeks (and think he’s been caught out being a bit of a tool) then check out this article that made me chuckle today.

Boys will be boys

Sonia from Life Love and Hiccups had me in stitches on the bus on the way home this afternoon with her story of her son getting his tongue stuck in a freezer at Aldi. She get’s my it’s-funny-because-I-can-imagine-me-doing-it award for the week and a special mention for making me laugh in a way that made the lady sitting next to me on the bus move away from me on the seat.

Let me know if anything made your week – have a cracking weekend.

  1. Ok, so now I am having to follow Suzie just to find out if it is a doodle or a fanny.

This is a great idea! That poor lady prob thought you were on drugs or something!

  6. I love the idea of taking the whole clan in for doodle or fanny reveal. Someone should film it to show at the child’s 21st.

  7. I can’t tell you the amount of times I had people move away from me on the train when I used to work in the city. Whether it be laughing or crying at whatever I was reading, I would get so caught up I would forget I was in public and must have looked a right royal idiot! Off to check out your links now!

  8. Argh Alan Jones! Where will it end? Thanks for sharing these links. .

  11. By the way I can totally relate to Suzies situation. When we went to find out the sex of our third we made the sonographer tell the kids so they could tell us as I was afraid that I would punch her if is was another boy. Lucky for her we did that cause that little blob on the screen had a doodle!

  12. Grace says:

Thanks for introducing us to Suzie!
As for Alan Jones, one word – knob. ๐Ÿ™‚

  13. Hey Kev, Thanks for including me in your Friday segment I feel very honored. I just about fell off my chair when I saw comments on my blog!
It’s a funny thing this blogging world, I started the blog to keep family and friends up to date and also so the children (when their over 18..) can have a read about the crazy things they used to get up to. However now I see that it could be a lovely way to make new friends and learn more about other people lives. Thanks again, love to the family. x

  14. love the idea of ‘caught my eye friday’ will be back next week ๐Ÿ˜‰
